Contactless, precise AC/DC Current Monitoring

System description

Vutlan offers non-contact, precision open-loop AC and DC current sensors. They measure AC and DC current and provide electrical isolation between the measured circuit and the sensor output (the primary current is measured without electrical contact with the primary circuit, providing galvanic isolation).

AC Current Monitoring

100A transducer is used for the measurement of AC current. The system interface allows you to assign a transducer and to introduce the function data conversion. VT405 transceiver can be used to convert data into the format of Vutlan monitoring system.

Example: Turn off equipment before it overloads

As the electric elements age in the equipment, its resistance also changes. By measuring the current drawn by the element using Vutlan current transducer the resistance of the element can be determined and compared against a known aging characteristic. When the element reaches a predetermined state it can be replaced prior to failure.

DC Current Monitoring

The converter is used in conjunction with the K6D 100A DC Hall current sensor to measure current and convert data into the IP monitoring system format.

Example: Monitor battery charging or UPS

If the hall sensor is installed in such a way that its arrow, drawn on it, points towards the battery, then: If the battery is charging, the sensor shows that the current is ”+”; If the battery is discharging, the sensor shows that the current is ”-”.
