VT460 Smoke, Humidity, & Temperature Sensor

Description

VT460 is a smoke, humidity, and temperature sensor. VT460 has a high smoke sensitivity precise temperature, and humidity measurement. The detector responds to the appearance of the smoke of the low concentration.

A separate element inside the web interface represents every environmental parameter of VT460. This allows us to set individual thresholds and set up event triggering such as notifications and other actions.

CAN devices and sensors can be chained together. Up to 10-32 CAN devices can be connected in a chain. You can connect CAN sensors or extensions on a CAN bus line.

Use cases

The VT594 Water Leak Sensor is used for:

  • Fire Safety Monitoring: The VT460 can be integrated into fire alarm systems to provide real-time monitoring of smoke levels in various environments, such as commercial buildings, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities. Its ability to detect smoke quickly can trigger alarms and alerts, ensuring prompt responses to potential fire hazards.
  • Data Centers: In data centers where high-value equipment is housed, the VT460 can monitor for smoke and heat, which are critical indicators of fire risks. Early detection helps to protect equipment and reduce potential downtime due to fire-related incidents.
  • Residential Applications: Homeowners can utilize the VT460 as part of a smart home system to monitor smoke levels in kitchens, attics, or near heating systems. Notifications can be sent to mobile devices, allowing for immediate action in case of a fire.
  • Industrial Facilities: In factories and processing plants, the VT460 can monitor smoke emissions from machinery or during production processes. This application helps ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Event Triggering for Emergency Protocols: In the event of smoke detection, the VT460 can trigger specific protocols, such as activating fire suppression systems, sending alerts to security personnel, or locking down certain areas to ensure safety.
  • Educational Institutions: Schools and universities can implement the VT460 in classrooms and common areas to enhance fire safety measures. It can monitor smoke levels and send alerts to administrators, ensuring a quick response in emergencies.

Sensor features

Logic schemes

Logic schemes are used to specify automatic actions to events that occur in the system.

Dashboard view

The system allows to customize the dashboard individually for each user and displays the most important information on it in a visual form.
Add widgets with multi graphs, gauge meters or knobs.

Thresholds

Each sensor has Low Alarm, Low Warning, Normal, High Warning, and High alarm threshold states for logic control & sending of notification.

Graphs and Logging

Vutlan supports SD card logging up to 500 Gb. You can log a whole systems loaded with sensors for 3 years.

Connecting CAN sensors

You can connect up to x32 CAN units in a CAN bus chain.

E.g. Each VT408 unit in a CAN bus chain adds 8 analog sensors.

E.g. Each VT440 unit adds x32 or x64 dry contact inputs to the system.

The additional power supply CAN12V-1A  is needed only if the number of sensors in a CAN bus chain is more than 12 sensors. Supplies power for each additional group of 12 sensors.

Systems with CAN ports:

To read data from the CAN sensors, you need a Vutlan monitoring and control system. A monitoring system may have x1 or x2 CAN ports.
