Water leaks are the most common reasons for data loss, equipment failure or facility damage. By triggering an alert to be sent via e-mail or SMS text message to the personnel a company can have peace of mind knowing that equipment is safe.

System description

Vutlan offers a very powerful, and potentially money-saving water leak detection system offering: leak detection cable sensors; water leak spot sensors; monitoring systems with built-in notifications (SNMP, E-mail, SMS, Syslog) for notifying the personnel; 12V control of alarm beacons and strobe lights; relay and dry contact outputs for control of devices.

"VT591 / Water leak sensor", "WLC / Water leakage cable", "WDC / Water detection rope"

"VT591 / Water leak sensor" is an early warning system for large areas that alert the personnel or the operator at the operation center at the instant when a few drops of water appear. The whole area can be effectively monitored by placing the leaked cable or leak rope near or along with possible flood sources. VT591 can connect either "WLC / Water leakage cable" or "WDC / Water detection rope". The sensor reacts to just a few drops of liquid on the WDC rope or WLC cable. WDC can also detect the emergence of moisture. The cable is flexible and easy to install. VT591 is an analog plug-and-play sensor, it is integration-friendly and quick to reset. After the flooding, the leak detection cable can be dried and reused. The sensor does not produce false alarm signals when bent or twisted. Specifications are as follows. WLC and WDC usage examples

Multiple spot liquid leakage detection

Vutlan water detection rope/cable can cover large areas and multiple spots for up to 225 meters. if there's an emergence of lipid anywhere along the rope, the system may send an early warning to the appropriate personnel.

Example: Leakage detection under raised floors

Raised floors, used sometimes in offices, server rooms, data centers are also particularly vulnerable. Monitoring the status of concealed cables and wires beneath floor panels may be difficult. Cables may be soaking in water for a long period before anyone notices.

VT590 / Spot water detector

When water is in contact with the metal cores, the sensor indicates the emergence of moisture. The sensor should be mounted in such a way that its metal cores should be pointing downwards as close as possible to the floor/surface where potential leakage may be. Example: Spot leakage detection

VT590 is used to detect pooling/dripping water and is best placed directly beneath equipment or in low-lying areas. For example, the most common reason for flooding server rooms is from leaking CRAC units. The best way to manage this is by deploying a spot water sensor underneath the drip pan of the CRAC unit.

It is possible to connect up to 68 water leak sensors to a monitoring unit using "VT408 / Extension unit for analog sensors" on a CAN bus port.
